As a Republican, I can work directly with or against the decision makers in this state to represent the best interests of Sandy’s residents. As a common-sense Republican, I will always put great policies above party and politics. My opponent may argue that we need more Democrats to offset the Utah Republican supermajority.  I disagree.  I believe Utah needs the right Republicans.  Because I can caucus with the Republican-led House, I will have a stronger voice in the Legislature to advocate for Sandy—a position of influence that no Democrat can match.  Fans of Hamilton know that policy can be made and shaped only when you’re “in the room where it happens.” 

Although he claims to be ideologically aligned with me and to espouse many core Republican principles, a Representative without a voice and a platform of strongly-held convictions cannot effectively represent the people of his district.
